The ancient port of Bideford is steeped in history and is a fascinating base from which to enjoy all the sights and activities offered by the sea and stunning countryside around it.  With the rugged North Devon coastline and its nearby fishing villages of Appledore and Clovelly to visit, together with Exmoor and Dartmoor on your doorstep there is so much to explore.  We are just 200yards from the Tarka trail which is ideal for cycling, walking and exploring the picturesque waters of the River Torridge.  Golf is available nearby at Westward Ho!, Torrington, Barnstaple and Saunton Sands.

Orchard Studio overlooks the River Torridge and is but a few minutes walk from the very centre of Bideford, still an active port and with a lively fishing industry.  The boat to Lundy Island sails regularly from Bideford. 

The Studio offers the option of B&B or self-catering accommodation without the chore of cleaning up at the end of your stay - we do that and you just pack and go!
